The meeting was called to order by President, Nzinga Graham, MD.  Executive Board members participating in the Zoom conference were: Rebecca Bertin, MD; Wesley Bradford, MD: Mark Dressner, MD; Emma Hiscocks, MD; Elisabeth Kalve, MD; Gregory Lewis, MD; Kevin Rossi, MD and guest member, Sophia Tan-Troung, MD. CAFP Executive Staff member, Morgan Cleveland, was also present, as well as LAAFP Executive Director, Roxanne Kuns.

Dr. Graham asked for a motion to approve the September 15, 2020, Annual Member Meeting minutes as printed in the October Newsletter and in the Agenda. It was so moved and seconded. The minutes were unanimously approved.

Dr. Gregory Lewis presented the Treasurer’s Report for January 1 – October 31, 2020 as printed in the Agenda. The budget was presented was in good standing.  Dr. Lewis asked for a motion to accept the report as printed in the Agenda.  It was so moved and seconded. The report was unanimously accepted.

As for new business, it was presented for approval that the newly elected President, Monique George, MD; the newly elected Secretary Treasurer, Emma Hiscocks, MD and Roxanne E. Kuns Executive Director, become the new 2021 signers on the Academy bank account at Banc of California. (The official account title is: American Academy of Family Physicians, Los Angeles County Chapter.) It was moved and seconded that these appointments be accepted and submitted by letter to the Banc of California following approval of minutes in the new year.

Dr. Graham congratulated our newly elected 2021 Executive Board and introduced their names as printed in the Agenda.

Dr. Graham gave opportunity for people to go around the “room” and introduce themselves.  There was opportunity to discuss responses to the Virtual FORUM: the advantages cited were being able to see the CME again and breakout rooms that allow people to chat. The discussion also turned to how the academy could develop some fun events to make virtual meetings more inviting.  The Game Night our chapter held during the FORUM was not particularly well attended, but was well received as a great get-acquainted time by those who did attend.

Morgan Cleveland announced that the AMAM would be a Virtual meeting of one day on May 15. This would be a governance day of installation of officers and introducing resolutions, (members should watch for deadlines to submit resolutions as we get closer to March). The advocacy training and Lobby Day will be held sometime in August or later.

Morgan also added that there would not be a 2021 Clinical Forum and noted that the current Forum follow up days were December 12, 2020 and January 16, 2021, to include a retirement celebration for Shelly Rodriguez, Executive Director of the CAFP Foundation.

The meeting was adjourned.
