The meeting was called to order by President Daniel Pio, MD. Dr. Pio welcomed members and guests. There were 21 people in attendance. All names have been placed on record. Roxanne Kuns, Executive Director, was also present.
Dr. Pio asked for a motion to approve the September 24, 2019, meeting minutes as printed in the Agenda. The motion was moved and seconded. The minutes were unanimously approved.
Assistant Secretary-Treasurer, Dr. Greg Lewis, presented the Treasurer’s Report for January 1 through October 31, 2019. The report included a line-item comparison of the 2019 approved budget and the up-to-date income and expense for the year. Dr. Lewis asked for a motion that the report be accepted as printed in the Agenda. It was moved and seconded. The Treasurer’s Report was unanimously accepted.
The 2020 Election Results were also printed in the Agenda which introduced the new Executive Committee, CAFP Board of Directors, and CAFP Delegates and Alternate-Delegates.
The meeting was adjourned.
Following the meeting, Dr. Pio introduced the CME speaker, Tipu V. Khan, M.D., FAAFP, FASAM
Dr. Kahn’s presentation was entitled: Pain Management and Opioids: Balancing the Risks and Benefits. This CME opportunity was supported in part by a grant from the CAFP Foundation.
