As we start a new year, the prospect of both immediate and long-term changes to healthcare stands in front of us. Uncertainty can be uncomfortable. It is my genuine hope that the Los Angeles Academy of Family Physicians (LAAFP) can be a resource to help clarify questions you have as well as represent your opinions in enacting change and policy to both protect your patients and your practice.
Keep in mind that the LAAFP is the local chapter of a state chapter, and the state chapter is our representative to a national organization. We have the ability to escalate and unify to rise to any challenge that comes across your path. I look forward to representing you this year, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. to come. I look forward to a year of where family doctors are part of the change and not just feeling the consequences of it.
